Ainsley Kaye Pierce passed peacefully in the arms of her parents on November 15, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Children's Mercy Hospital. She was born at 4:52 p.m. on November 11, 2023, in Hiawatha. Ainsley weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 17.71 inches long.

Ainsley is the daughter of Ethan and Brianna Pierce of Hiawatha. She is the answer to their prayers, and they waited for her birth with joyful expectation. During her brief visit on earth, she enjoyed listening to her mom and dad sing, cuddling with soft toys, having books read to her, and being held close by her parents. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.

Ainsley is survived by parents Ethan and Brianna Pierce of Hiawatha, paternal Grandparents Lonny and Lisa Pierce of Hiawatha, maternal Grandparents Dominic and Linda Grier of Hiawatha and Chris and Sheila Shelly of Sabetha. Paternal Great Grandmother Sharon Waser of Hiawatha and maternal Great Grandmother Pat Bigham of Hiawatha, and Great Grandparents Bill and Terri Herrmann of Sabetha. Uncles and Aunts Dylan and Rachel Shelly of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Kylie Shelly of Sabetha, Marissa and Travis LeMay of Hiawatha, Josie Pierce of Auburn, Alabama, Bailey, and Maggie Pierce of Hiawatha.

Ainsley was met in heaven with open arms, hugs, and kisses by her maternal Great Grandfather Gary Baker. Paternal Great Grandparents Roy and Mary Ralston, Great Grandfather Harley Pierce, and Great Grandfather Rod Waser.

A celebration of life will be held for immediate family on Friday, November 24, 2023.
