Candice "Candy" Lou Moore, 72, of Benbrook, TX died October 13, 2023 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, Denton, TX.

Candy was born August 14, 1951, the daughter of Harold LaVerne Moore and Donna Jean (Pike) Moore, in Beatrice, NE. Her family lived in many towns during her childhood. She graduated from Mayetta High School in Mayetta, KS in 1969.

Candy married Wayne Boeckman on June 6, 1970. They later divorced.

Candy was a hairdresser for 50 years. She also volunteered over 25 years at Western Hills Elementary and with other organizations.

Candy is survived by her daughter, Brandy Boeckman, stepfather, Jake Huyett of Holton, KS, aunt, Betty Gillham of Lincoln, NE, several cousins, and many good friends. Her parents preceded her in death.

Candy donated her body for research. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations in her honor can be made to the American Heart Association or 4PAWS Benbrook.
