It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that Charles (Charlie) E. Fritz, 87, of Hiawatha, Kansas passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1936 to William and Gertrude Fritz.

Charles was an Army veteran who spent his lifetime in rural southeast Nebraska as a farmer, loving husband, father, and friend to many. He enjoyed many years of being a master wood crafter in his retirement at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita, as well as his children David (Deanna) Fritz of Eagleville, Missouri, Augie (Wendy) Fritz of Camdenton, Missouri, and Susan (Curtis) Donohew of Spanish Fort, Alabama; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Sister, Louise Browne of Branson, Missouri, and brothers, William (Carol) Fritz of Lincoln, Nebraska and Paul (Martha) Fritz of Wetmore, Kansas; and multitude of nieces and nephews.

A Prayer Service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home at 124 S. 7th St, Hiawatha, Kansas 66434.  Pastor Brian Holle will officiate.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Steele Cemetery, Falls City, Nebraska

Memorial contributions suggested to NEK Hospice or Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
