MERIDEN – Charles M. "Butch" Nauheim, 72, of Meriden, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at his home.

He was born February 9, 1949 at Holton, the son of John Milton and Marguerite Mercer Nauheim.

Butch owned and operated Kansas Fire and Safety Equipment for forty-six years. He enjoyed the Kansas Jayhawks, stock car racing, hunting and his horses. However, his biggest enjoyment was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rose Marie Vobach.

Survivors two sons, Brian Nauheim, Portland Oregon and Brett Nauheim, Lawrence; a daughter, Amy Schmidtlein (Kenny), Topeka; one sister, Beth Kaye Bosch, Topeka, and four grandsons, Wells, Owen, Charley and Carter Nauheim.

Cremation is planned. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 23rd at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt. Private burial will be later in the Hoyt Cemetery.
