Danny Lee "Dan" Tilton, 74, of Highland, died unexpectedly February 21, 2025, at his home.

Dan was born October 6, 1950 at Highland, to Paul and Mildred Butrick Tilton.  He attended Highland schools where he graduated prior to entering the U.S. Navy where he served four years.

He married Theresa Hazelitt on December 30, 1971.  To this union two children were born:  Jeanette Mae Tilton Krier and Shawn Paul Franklin Tilton.

In addition to Theresa and the children surviving, are 3 grandchildren:  Dalton Krier & Serena, Kieffer Preston Krier & Maddie, Katherne Elaine Tilton; 3 great-grandchildren Paisley, Raylene Krier, and a great-grandson due in March.  Also surviving is a brother Bill Franklin Tilton.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack and his wife Kay, and sister-in-law Dorothy Tilton.

It was Dan's wish to be cremated with no service to be held

Private family inurnment will be at a later date at Iowa Point Cemetery, north of Highland.
