Debra L. Whitmore, 63, of Centralia, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Community Hospital in Onaga.

She was born July 5, 1960 in Emporia, the daughter of Faye and Marcia Banister Ullman.  She graduated from Highland Park High School.

Debra had worked as a para-professional for TARC in Topeka.  She also operated a traveling bait shop in the Topeka, Holton and Onaga areas, and worked for Jimmy K's Heating and Cooling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ricky Banister, and a great granddaughter, Rosabell Williams-Cervantes.

Survivors include the love of her life, Jim Koelzer, of the home, a son, Shawn Brown, Topeka, two daughters, Michelle Prettyman and Jennifer Christie, both of Topeka, two sisters, Lisa Grady, Perry and Teresa Bender, Topeka, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 16th at St. Patrick Cemetery in the Coal Creek Community.  Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS  66521.
