Dorothy DiAnne McDougal

Dorothy DiAnne McDougal, 80, of Havensville, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at her home.

She was born December 24, 1945 at Havensville, the daughter of Paul and Edna (Pitcher) Randel. She graduated from Soldier High School in 1963.

Dorothy was a member of the Havensville Christian Church and had taught craft lessons at Sunday School.

After her children left home she went to work as a cook at the Golden Acres Nursing Home.

Dorothy married Dale McDougal on August 4, 1963 at her parents home in Havensville. They were married by her uncle. Dale survives, of the home.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a great grandson, Maverick Richter, a sister, Paula “Sissy” Keeney, a brother, Wayne Randel, sisters-in-law, Sue Randel, Shirley Randel, Nadine McDougal and Virginia McDougal and brothers-in-law, Gene Keeney and Gerald McDougal.

Other survivors include two daughters, Stacy Pinick (Mike), Havensville and Kristie Richter (Pat), Holton, and a bonus son and daughter, Doug and Lana Savage, Havensville, one brother, Roger Randel (Bert), Havensville, eight grandchildren, Jesse (Jacque), Trista (Travis), Kassidy (Kameron), Jaimon (Kelly), Preston (Ashley), Zane (Bailey), Kayden and Phoenix, and fourteen great grandchildren, Aurian, Ronin, Gemma, Celeste, Luca, Lyra, Sawyer, Denver, Scottie, Miles, Serina, Jazlynn, Watson and Alaya.

She was a loving mother and wife.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 8th at the Havensville Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Havensville Cemetery. Dorothy will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Havensville Christian Church, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS 66521.
