HOLTON – Doug Schuyler, 85, of Holton, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at The Pines South in rural Holton.

He was born May 21, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Roy and Eleanor Shick Schuyler. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Doug was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks, both in Concordia.

He had worked in pharmaceutical sales for many years, retiring in 2001.

He married Dorothy Dee Hile on November 14, 1958 in Kansas City. She survives.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

Other survivors include two sons, Jeff Schuyler and his wife Astrid, Waldorf, MD and Kurt Schuyler and his wife Robin, Holton; a sister, Marcia Hyer, Olathe; three grandchildren, Amanda Jennison (Todd), Hannah Schuyler (George), and David Schuyler, and four great grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time. Inurnment will be later in the Olive Hill Cemetery, south of Soldier. Memorials are suggested to the Johnson Cancer Research Center at KSU, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 1034, Holton, KS 66436.
