Glenda Lamme, 83, of Holton, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at her home.

She was born on September 8, 1940 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of Glenn and Frederica Lambeth Blankenship.  She had lived in Holton since 1997.  She attended school in Joplin, MO and at Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, KS.

Glenda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holton, Daughters of the American Revolution and a Charter member of the Great Plains Balloon Club.

She worked as an accountant for the State of Kansas and later for the Hotel at Prairie Band Casino.

Glenda married George H. "Gary" Lamme on November 29, 1959 in Joplin.  He preceded her in death on November 26, 1992.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bob Blankenship and his wife Marlene, and William "Bill" Blankenship.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon Lamme and his wife Carol and Garin Lamme, all of Holton, three grandchildren, Ashlee York and her husband Chris, Darien McKeown and her husband Seth, and Abbie Lamme and her Fiancé, Torin Kaboudan, three great grandsons, Bryson, Ashton and Camden, and two great granddaughters, Demi and Emilia.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 16th at the First Baptist Church in Holton.  Private inurnment will be later in Spring Hill Cemetery at Whiting.  Memorials are suggested to Huff 'n Puff Children's Discovery Workshop or the Jackson County Senior Citizen's Center, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 1034, Holton, KS  66436.
