ONAGA – Henry Lee Daniels, 69, of Onaga, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.

He was born September 22, 1951 in Riverside, California, the son of Henry Lee Daniels, Sr. and Cleotha Mae Jackson Daniels. He graduated from Pomona High School in Pomona, CA and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Henry was a jack-of-all trades. He was a mechanic, sheriff's deputy, carpenter, project manager, rancher, truck driver, and had operated several businesses doing auto repair and auto body repair work.

He married Fofoga F. Taulua on September 11, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives, of the home.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Rotier Daniels, David Daniels and Sterlin Nelson, and a sister, Jerilyn Sprowls.

Other survivors include five sons, Lee Daniels, Las Vegas, NV, Rhenelle Daniels (Rosa), Brentwood, CA, Shawndale Daniels (Nathaniel Wilhort), Kansas City, MO, Tyree Daniels, Onaga and Gary Daniels (Taylor), Raymore, MO; three daughters, Ranzel Cross (Eugene), Azusa, CA, Lofia Daniels (Ricky Ware), Onaga and Cleotha Daniels (Rayshawn Cato), Topeka; a brother, Theodis Daniels, Ontario, CA; five sisters, Janice Daniels, Las Vegas, NV, Dana Daniels, Lenexa, Carol Daniels and Karen Perkins, both of Kansas City, KS and Latricia Nelson; a half-sister, Pat Boykin; fifteen grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 4th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial with military honors will follow in the Onaga Cemetery. Please wear a mask at the services. Henry will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The casket will be closed.
