HOYT – Jane E. Leitzel, 75, of Hoyt, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka.

She was born September 4, 1946 in Wichita, the daughter of Wayne and Virginia Stone O'Byrne.  She graduated from Wichita South High School in 1964.

Jane had worked as a secretary for the Misco Oil Company in Wichita and later was the receptionist for the Pre-School/Daycare at Grace United Methodist Church in Wichita.

She was a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant.

Jane married Eldon Earl Leitzel on November 5, 1994 at Grace United Methodist Church.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 2019.

Survivors include a daughter, Christina Ann Frederick, Hoyt; a son, David Wayne Morris (Teresa), Wichita; one sister, Cathy Jameson (David), Monet, Missouri; one brother, Tim O'Byrne (Alecia), Topeka; six grandchhildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16 ^th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt.  Burial will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery.  Jane will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, where family and friends will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  Memorials are suggested to the Social Order of the Beauceant or Knight's Templar, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, KS  66440.
