Jeffery (Jeff) Allen Hunter, 67, of Mayetta, KS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Medical Lodges Jackson County, Holton, KS.  Jeff was born on August 12, 1955 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Jackie Harold Hunter and Janice Marie (Grace) Hunter. He graduated from Lawrence High School, Lawrence, KS in 1973. During his father's military service career in the US Army, Jeff and his family lived at Fort Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska where Jeff became a junior police officer. He enjoyed travel, singing, fishing, and farm living helping his grandparents, Ivy and Buna Grace on their family farm in Kirksmanville, Kentucky. While residing in Mayetta, Jeff was employed at Prairie Band Casino and Resort.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Jackie and Janice Hunter, grandparents Otto and Blanche (Rodkey) Hunter, and Ivy Arthur and Buna Lorene (Wilson) Grace.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Anne Gutierrez-Hunter, son Keith Thomas (Kimberly) Hunter or Canton, Michigan; sisters Jeanette Darlene Catherine Hunter and Jennifer Lynn (Hunter) Foxworthy of Greenwood, Indiana; and three grandchildren: Vincenzo, Allie and Jack.

Arrangements are being made for the cremation burial to be held at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
