Jo Lynn Obr, 55, of Centralia, formerly of Onaga, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 31, 1966 in Topeka, the daughter of Paul and Gail Ward Elder.  She graduated from Onaga High School in 1984.

Jo Lynn had worked at various jobs.  She was a waitress at the Roost Truck Stop in Topeka, she worked at the Grocery Store in Onaga in the Deli, and in the kitchen at Community Hospital, Onaga.  Her last job was as a veterinary technician at the Animal Health Clinic in Onaga.

She married Thad Shepard on May 21, 2022 in Centralia.  He survives, of the home.

Jo Lynn was preceded by her parents, and by her grandparents, Ralph and Irene Ward, and Damien and Corrine Elder.

Other survivors include a son, Tristin T. Magnett (Christina), Onaga, two sisters, Paulette Mazur (Joe), Midway, GA and Angela Venneberg (Fred), Onaga, and one grandson, Damon Paul Magnett.

A family and friends visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17 ^th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga.  A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, followed by inurnment in the Fairview Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the Onaga Pet Park, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 280, Onaga, KS  66521.
