HOYT – Linda J. Rickel, 54, of Hoyt, passed away from natural causes on Friday, April 16, 2021 at her home.

She was born June 3, 1966 at Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest and Correne Johnson Herron.  She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1984 and attended beauty school after high school.

Linda worked for many years as a hairdresser for Regis Salon in Topeka.  She later worked for Affinity Salon in Topeka, until she retired for health reasons.

She was a member of the Topeka Civic Theater.

She married Randy J. Rickel on August 19, 1991 in Meriden.  He survives, of the home.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Correne Herron, a sister, Cindy Ann Herron, and her mother-in-law, Alice Rickel.

Other survivors include a brother, Roger Herron, Shawnee, a sister, Kay Pettit and husband Bud, Lawrence, and her father-in-law, George Rickel, Hoyt.

Cremation is planned and no services are scheduled at this time.  Memorials are suggested to the Linda Rickel Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, KS  66440.
