Margaret N. Snyder, 85, of Hoyt, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born December 2, 1940 in Holton, the daughter of Clifford and Winifred (Brown) Brownfield. She graduated from Circleville High School in 1959.

Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hoyt.

She worked as a medical transcriptionist at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and later worked in admitting at the Clay County Hospital.

She married Marvin Long. They were divorced. She married Mike Snyder. He preceded her in death.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Barry Louroy Long.

Survivors include two daughters, Kellie Lee Bryan (Kenny), Hoyt and Barbara Kay Brown (Jeff), Topeka, one sister, Betty Dachenhausen, Topeka, four grandchildren, K.J. Bryan, Adam Bryan, Aley Hart and Erin Walther and six great grandchildren, Alize Stauffer (Sam), Kennedy Bryan, Bowen Bryan, Charlotte Bryan, Finn Bryan and Declan Bryan.

Private graveside services will be in the Circleville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Midland Hospice House, and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, KS 66440.
