Mark Alan Fager, 61, of Kansas City, Missouri, died January 5, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

A private graveside service will be held on January 9th, with a celebration of life at a later date.

He was born July 10, 1959, in Onaga, Kansas, the son of Mavis "Deanie" (Florence) Fager and Marion Fager.

Mark graduated from Onaga High School in the class of 1977. After graduation, he moved to Hastings, NE, to work on the railroad. He met ReNae Short in Hastings and soon began working for her father, who was an electrician. Mark and ReNae married in 1982 and later moved to Chandler, AZ. They divorced in 1990 and Mark moved to Lawrence, KS. He earned his Master Electrician license while working at Quality Electric. In 1993, he moved to Kansas City, MO, and worked for R.F. Fisher until he retired. He was a member of IBEW Local 124.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Malia Jean Fager.

Survivors include a stepson, Darren Beeley, Wausau, WI; three brothers, Keith Fager and wife, B.J., Lenexa, Brian Fager, Lawrence, and Curtis Lynch and wife, Erin, Fort Mill, SC; and a sister, Kathy Barr and husband, Jon, Lawrence. He was a fun-loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Mark was an avid collector of vintage firearms and took pride in showing them to friends and family. He had an outgoing personality that was larger than life, with a laugh like no one else. He was clever and somewhat mischievous. Life was never dull when Mark was around. His distinct cackle will live on in memories of the lives he touched. His arrival was announced in loud fashion, but his departure was quiet and subtle. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.

Mark will lie in state on Friday, January 8 ^th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, January 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga, KS.
