HOLTON – Novena F. Newman, 92, of Holton, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at her home in rural Holton.

She was born August 2, 1931 at Valley Falls, the daughter of Charles and Fannie Gutzman Heller.  She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1948.

Novena was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton and the Altar Society at the church.

Survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Karns, and Deborah Kelly, of Holton, Brenda Votto, Southport, CT, and Mariann Jarboe, Council Grove, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Services for Novena will be private.  Memorials are suggested to the Beck-Bookman Library or Heart of Jackson Humane Society, and may be sent in care of the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 1034, Holton, KS  66436.
