Phillip Rector, 33, of Onaga, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at his home.

He was born June 8, 1992, in Topeka. He graduated from Seaman High School in 2010 and attended Washburn Technical School for Woodworking. Phillip had worked at Hardee's in Topeka.

Phillip spread joy with his contagious laughter wherever he would go. He was very selfless and loved everyone he met.

Phillip was the best biscuit-maker and humblest bro to grace the Earth.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Phyllis Rector.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Rector, Onaga, a brother, Billy Rector, Lawrence, four sisters, Teresa Miller (Andrew), Onaga, Erica Rector (Jason), Topeka, Angelia Lane, Oklahoma City, OK and Esperanza Soto, Topeka, and eleven nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3rd at the Onaga Cemetery.  Phillip will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  There will be a Celebration of Phillip's Life and a Luncheon after the service at the Onaga Community Center.  Memorials are suggested to Helping Hands Humane Society, and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS  66521.
