Quinton Waldon "Chuck" Norris, 19, of Onaga, died Sunday, August 16, 2020 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.

He was born November 14, 2000 at Onaga, the son of Gilson and Amanda Fordham Norris. He graduated from Onaga High School in 2019 and from Salina Technical School with a certificate in Auto Collision Repair.

Quinton was an all around good athlete. In high school he played football and basketball, and ran in cross country and track. He was a valuable member of everything he did. He was always encouraging everybody else. He loved his numbers, being #15 in football as a running back and quarterback. Basketball was his all time favorite sport, in which he wore #24 jersey.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gary Lavern Norris and Norma Jean Elston, and an uncle, Jerry Kilgore.

Survivors include his parents, Gilson and Amanda Norris, Onaga; a sister, Hali Norris (Clyde Bolyard) and their children, Wesson and Aspen Bolyard; his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Linda Fordham, Onaga; aunts and uncles and their families, Dustin and Jenna Fordham and Brent and Lynette Fordham, all of Onaga, Bill Kilgore, Lawrence, Richard Kilgore, Topeka and Karla and Marvin Willcut, Rantoul, KS.

The funeral service for Quinton will be private. He will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga, where family and friends will meet from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Face masks are strongly suggested for the visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the Quinton Norris Memorial Fund, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
