Ronald F. Cummings, 82, formerly of Chandler, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 25, 1942 in Jackson County, KS, the son of Raymond and Minnie Marshall Cummings.

Ronald worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies in Texas.  He was very active in local car clubs and a member of the Tyler, Texas Mustang Club. He also had a love for dogs and was an avid dog owner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Connie Lorranie Taylor, Arlene Bridget Cummings, and Rose Ellen Saothoff, and five brothers, Felix Virgil, Charles Neal, Raymond Eugene, Earl William and Paul Laverne Cummings.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Catherine Merchan, Mobile, AL and Ruth Ann Cook, Chinchilla, AL, and nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 12th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta, KS.  Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday prior to Mass.  Memorials are suggested to the Cummings Family Memorial Fund, and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 280, Hoyt, KS  66440.
