ONAGA – Ronald L. Shelton, 45, of Onaga, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident near Duluth.

He was born August 18, 1968 in Manhattan, the son of Willard Leon and Janie Coots Shelton. He graduated from Onaga High School in 1986.

Ron was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Duluth and had worked in construction for many years.

He married Tina A. Ritcherson on March 14, 2004 at Atchison. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Janie Shelton, Manhattan; his father, Willard Leon Shelton, Kansas City, KS; his grandmother, Catalina Coots, Manhattan; sons, Josh Shelton, of the home, and Connor Christlieb (Laci), St. Joseph, MO, step-son, Mike Kuemin and step-daughter, Krystal Kuemin, both of Pratt; brothers, Jason E. Shelton, Atchison, and Justin Shelton, Kansas City, KS; a sister, Lindsey Shelton, Kansas City, KS; and four grandchildren, Jessica, Leeanna, Grace and Jerrick.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial will follow in the Onaga Cemetery. Ron will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
