ONAGA – Ruth "Nadine" McDougal, 84, of Onaga, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born February 20, 1940, at home, in rural Havensville, Jackson County, Kansas.  The daughter of Clifford William Chance and Ida Nancy Arganbright Chance.  She graduated from Springdale Grade School and Havensville High School.

Gale Lee McDougal and Ruth "Nadine" Chance were married on April 18, 1964.  He survives of the home.

Ruth "Nadine" was preceded in death by her parents, also a daughter, Janet E. McDougal, sisters Virginia (Lyle) McDougal and Judy K (Richard) Ribelin.

Other survivors include a daughter, Joyce (Mike) Hart, a Granddaughter Kimber L (Cory) Bradley, three step Grandaughters, Shara, Jayden and Kate.  Sister's Dorothy (Jim) Kluender and Mary (Lloyd) Ringel, Brothers-in-law, Lyle and Richard, and several nieces and nephews.

Nadine's wishes are to be cremated and Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 8th, at 2:30 PM at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga.  Memorials are suggested to the Onaga Clinic and Hospital, or the Onaga Cemetery, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS  66521.
