Scott Scapanski, passed away October 31, 2024, at the age of 48.

He was born on November 16, 1975, to Gerald and Carol (Juetten) Scapanski in St. Cloud, MN.  He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School.  He worked on the family farm and other farms in the Foley area; including owning and operating his own dairy farm.  In 2009, Scott began working for Strunk Harvesting out of Kansas, as a dedicated and loyal combine operator.  He completed 16 harvests there before unexpectedly passing away while at work doing what he enjoyed.

He made many friends along the way from Texas to Montana and North Dakota.  Most importantly Marty Burger and Wayne Herioux who he lived and worked with for many years.  Scott will be missed for his quick wit and ease of making new friends.  He had a passion for harvesting efficiency and would never quit until the last truck was filled.  A true Harvester!

Scott is survived by his brothers and sister:  Jason (Sandy Giddens), Ocoee, FL; Nick Foley; Amy (Pat) Herbst, Foley.  Nieces and nephews include:  KatIlyn, Garrett, MacKenzie Scapanski, Weston and Amelia Scapanski, Callie and Luke Herbst; and with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also like family were Kathy & Mike Strunk of Silver Lake, KS.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Haymaker's Grill, 113 E 4th Street, Hoyt, KS.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Scott Scapanski Memorial Fund to be designated later sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 124 S 7th St., Hiawatha, KS 66434.
