ONAGA - Skyler Dean Kaster, 28, of Onaga, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at his home.

He was born December 8, 1993 at Onaga, the son of Kevin and Lori Roesch Kaster. He graduated from Onaga High School in 2012.

Skyler worked with his dad in Kaster Masonry, and later took over the business after his father died. His passion was hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his nephews. He was ornery and a jokester, and like to encourage people to burn their tires.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin Kaster, and an aunt, Ann Kaster.

Survivors include his mother, Lori McElroy (Jamie), Axtell, two brothers, Josh Kaster (Dené), Alta Vista and Dylan Kaster (Britney), Onaga, a sister, Jaci Kaster, Onaga, a step-brother, Ethan McElroy, Axtell, a step-sister, Hannah Iasimone (Preston), Savannah, GA, grandparents, Ruth Ensley-Kunz (George), Richard and Shirley Lowry, Ridgedale, MO, Duane and Charlie Roesch, Hollister, MO and Wayne and Marti McElroy, Randall, and four nephews, Kaiden Kaster, Kevin Kaster, Wyatt Daniel and Braydon Iasimone.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21st at the First Congregational Church, UCC in Onaga. Burial will follow in the Neuchatel Cemetery. Skyler will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga, where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Skyler Kaster Memorial Fund, to be used for his nephews education funds, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS 66521.
