Tracey L. 'Tre' Sharp

Tracey “Tre” Sharp, a beloved father and greater friend, died unexpectedly on June 21st, 2026, at the age of 46 while celebrating Father’s Day with family at his residence.

Tracey is survived by his children, Trenton Sharp, Daegan Sharp, and Teagan Sharp; His siblings Kelly Sharp, Brandy Sharp, Lori Kloss, and Brian Hackett. He is preceded in death by his parents Racine Allen, formerly Legan, and Charles Sharp.

Tre was born in Nebraska on June 16, 1980, to Racine and Charles. He was raised in part by his parents and through multiple foster families, his most memorable being with his grandma (not biological) Minny and a foster brother Tyrone, and Jim and Linda Garrett, who took him in as their own. He graduated from Hiawatha High School and the technical program in Atchison Kansas for welding. After the birth of his three children with Stacy Barnes, he has since worked for Wenger Manufacturing in Sabetha while taking up long-term residence in Powhattan Kansas to be present in his children’s lives.

He was a devoted man to his family, never failing to help where possible. He enjoyed activities such as collecting, fishing, and enjoying public events with his kids. With an avid love for things such as Marvel and DC universes, food, or his community he could always find common ground with whom he talked to. He was an active member of the Powhattan City Council, as well as, former board member for the Public Wholesale Water District #27. He will forever be dearly missed and kept close to our hearts.

A celebration of life is planned to be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, at the Ag Museum, in Hiawatha Kansas from 2-4 PM. A viewing as well as food will be available to those attending.
